Copyright Policy

CheckerProxy.cc respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects its users to do the same. In accordance with the Digital Millennium Copyright Act of 1998 (DMCA), we will respond expeditiously to claims of copyright infringement committed using our website or service.

If you are a copyright owner, or authorized to act on behalf of one, and believe that any content on our website infringes upon your copyrights, you may submit a notification pursuant to the DMCA by providing our Copyright Agent with the information detailed below.

Filing a DMCA Takedown Notice

To file a DMCA takedown notice with us, you must provide a written communication that includes substantially the following:

Required Information:

  • A physical or electronic signature of a person authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that has been allegedly infringed
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed, or, if multiple copyrighted works are covered by a single notification, a representative list of such works
  • Identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material (including URL)
  • Your contact information, including your address, telephone number, and email address
  • A statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law
  • A statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the owner of the copyright that is allegedly infringed

Filing a Counter-Notice

If you believe that your content was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, you may file a counter-notice with us by providing the following information:

  • Your physical or electronic signature
  • Identification of the material that has been removed or disabled and the location where it appeared before removal
  • A statement under penalty of perjury that you have a good faith belief that the material was removed by mistake or misidentification
  • Your name, address, and telephone number
  • A statement that you consent to the jurisdiction of Federal District Court for the judicial district in which your address is located

Repeat Infringer Policy

In accordance with the DMCA and other applicable laws, CheckerProxy.cc has adopted a policy of terminating, in appropriate circumstances, users who are deemed to be repeat infringers.

We may also, at our sole discretion, limit access to the Site and/or terminate the accounts of any users who infringe any intellectual property rights of others, whether or not there is any repeat infringement.

False Claims

Please be aware that under Section 512(f) of the DMCA, any person who knowingly materially misrepresents that material or activity is infringing, or that material or activity was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification, may be subject to liability. If you are unsure whether the material available online infringes your copyright, we suggest that you contact an attorney before filing a notification or counter-notification.

Processing Time

We aim to process all valid DMCA notices within 3-5 business days of receipt. Upon receiving a proper notice, we will remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material and notify the user who posted the content. Counter-notices will be processed within 10-14 business days as required by law.
